About me and my practice

Through counselling, I can help you recover emotionally from distressing events and develop healthier ways of coping. Together, we can work on reconnecting with your sense of value, confidence, and self-worth, helping you feel more grounded and secure in who you are. I can also support you in creating and maintaining healthier relationships with family, friends, or partners, improving the way you connect with others. A key part of this process is identifying and achieving realistic changes that feel meaningful and sustainable, guiding you toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. Ultimately, thriving.
Offering a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore feelings and emotions that may be affecting different areas of your life. Together, we can look at past experiences and identify events that may have caused distress and continue to impact you today. Building trust, the goal is to help you develop a sense of hope and take steps toward healing.
I know that every journey is unique, and sometimes it can feel overwhelming to navigate the next steps on your own. Id love to hear your story, understand your goals, and explore how I can support you in a way that truly fits your needs. Whenever you feel ready, I'm here to listen to you, offering guidance encouragement, acceptance and validation.

Experience

I have been with clients who have become aware of their emotional struggles and overwhelming thoughts which have led to patterns of behaviour they want to change. These behaviours quickly become blocks that prevent progression. I work collaboratively with clients ensuring they are comfortable exploring areas of their lives they want to change.
Working with clients I support them to gently weave all the dropped stitches looking at positive steps towards change. Spending some time looking at different times in their lives which caused emotional distress, trauma and ongoing mental health challenges.
I have offered understanding, empathy and a safe space to discuss experiences, feelings, thoughts and hopes allowing client to not only get a deeper understanding of themselves but look to self acceptance evaluating their own expectations.
I work with people of all backgrounds, different age groups and challenges.
I have provided counselling and applied psychotherapies for clients who have experienced/ experiencing; depression, anxiety, panic attacks, low mood, emotional distress, sexual trauma, challenges around sexuality, bullying at school/work, generational trauma/ identity crisis, self harm and addictions.
I welcome all clients, I research signpost and find a way to ensure help and support is offered which might mean helping the client find support and care elsewhere.
